What a difference a day makes!

After a cold, wet and windy start to April, finally a break in the weather.

Took my four year old and headed up to Loch Lunndaidh for an hour or so.

Saw several fish freely rising to hatching green mayfly and heather beetles.

Covered a nice rise off the water supply outlet and was rewarded with a take like a tomahawk missile and my first trout of the year.

Let the wee man land the fish which he loved, though he wasnt so keen to unhook it, haha.

Only managed to fish as far as the old boat shed, before Fionnlagh lost interest but we both enjoyed ourselves anyway.

Here's to many more trout in 2019!
